The Director of Engineering & Sustainability is responsible for leading initiatives that integrate engineering practices with sustainable development goals. This position will involve setting and overseeing the company's environmental impact and ensuring the architectural and engineering design of the company’s projects, as well as their delivery and subsequent asset management, incorporates strategies to enhance sustainability across all operations. This will cover all projects delivered by the organisation, including Infrastructure, Site Clearance, MEP, Energy usage, Transportation, Materials, as well as construction techniques and subsequent Asset Management programmes. The Director shall take responsibility for developing, implementing, and monitoring environmental strategies that promote sustainable development and shall engage closely with the CEO and the Development team to set up the environmental procedures to be followed by the organization.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement sustainability strategies that align with the company's overall goals. This includes setting measurable objectives and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations
Project Oversight: Manage engineering projects that focus on sustainable practices, ensuring that all designs and processes minimize environmental impact.
Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including engineering, development, operations, and marketing, to promote sustainability initiatives and foster a culture of environmental responsibility.
Monitoring and Reporting: Regularly assess the company's environmental performance and report findings to senior management. This includes tracking progress towards sustainability goals and identifying areas for improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with external stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, community organizations, and industry groups, to promote the company's sustainability efforts and gather insights on best practices.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS (MINIMUM)

Education
|
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, or sustainability
- MBA or similar is preferred
|

Experience
|
- Minimum of 20 years’ experience with minimum 3 years at managerial/executive level, and have led major project >SAR 500m from conception to completion
- Significant Experience of working within areas of cultural sensitivity
- Experience of Hospitality, high rise and major infrastructure projects
